This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Denhunt ("we", "us") collects through our agent app (the "Platform"), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Information we collect
Account information
Your name, email, phone number, and password.
Verification documents
A government-issued ID (NIN, driver's license, passport, or voter's card) and, optionally, a professional certificate, used only to verify your identity and eligibility to list property, and visible only to our review team.
Listing content
Property details, photos, and videos you upload.
Messages
Chat messages with renters, including any photos, videos, or voice notes, kept to make chat work and to help resolve disputes.
Location data
Your device's location, requested only during an active, confirmed inspection window, to verify you and the renter met at the property.
Payment information
Your wallet balance and withdrawal history. Bank details you provide for payouts are handled directly by our payment processor, Paystack.
Usage data
Basic device, browser, and page-visit information collected automatically, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.
2. How we use it
- To verify your identity and approve your account before you can list property.
- To operate enquiries, chat, scheduling, escrow, and inspections.
- To process wallet payouts.
- To send you transactional emails and notifications about enquiries, payments, and verification.
- To investigate reports, disputes, and suspected fraud, and keep the Platform safe.
3. Who we share it with
- Renters you're in an active enquiry with, who see your name and contact details once they've paid the inspection fee.
- Paystack, to process your wallet payouts.
- Resend, our email provider.
- Supabase, our infrastructure and hosting provider.
- Law enforcement or regulators, only where required by law.
4. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you by emailing support@denhunt.com. Some data, like transaction records, may need to be retained for legal reasons even after a deletion request.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security, to protect your data.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform evolves. We'll notify you of material changes before they take effect.
